The Words

Begun in the late 1980s, The Words was a response to the many people Lee Cantelon had met who were put off by the organized church and religion but remained curious concerning the core message of Christianity and more precisely, what Jesus had said. In The Words, Cantelon compiled Jesus's words thematically, in clear and modern English, for non-Christians, spiritual seekers, agnostics, and believers alike. Since its first publishing in the 1990s, The Words has been translated into more than twenty languages and is helped inspire a engagement in humanitarian missions asfeatured in the call magazine.
